Giants of Africa, the not-for-profit co-founded by NBA Champion Masai Ujiri, is hosting its first-ever youth basketball festival in Kigali this August.
The Giants of Africa Festival will provide hands-on education and experience to 50 Rwandan youth between the ages of 20 and 30 throughout a 10-Day Youth Internship Program. Working under Giants of Africa senior management, participants of the program will gain valuable knowledge and experience in a field they are interested in learning more about and pursuing.
As a Volunteer Management Intern, you will work alongside the senior event team to manage the 100+ volunteers participating in the Festival. Your role will involve checking in and out volunteers, participating in volunteer training sessions, and managing volunteers on-site at the Festival’s marquee events.

The Giants of Africa Festival Youth Internship Program is hiring for 14 different departments, with multiple internship positions available in each department. Applicants are permitted to apply to multiple departments, but they must complete the necessary assessment tests and submit their resume for each department they apply to.

Applicants are not required to have a diploma or degree in the department(s) which they are applying for, but should have related skills/ experience and a strong interest in pursuing a career in the industry.
All Giants of Africa Festival Youth Internship Program applications are due by April 30, 2023.
Applicants who are selected to move on to the next step will hear back the week of May 8, 2023.
Interviews will be held on May 27, 2023 in Kigali City.
